Admin Interface ​

The AdminBolt Admin Interface provides server administrators with powerful tools to manage the entire hosting platform. This interface is designed to simplify complex server management tasks and provide a clear overview of system health and status.

How the sidebar is organised ​

The sidebar is twelve groups, one per subject: Dashboard, Customers, Backups, Web Server, Email, SSL, Health, Cluster, Logs, Migration, Modules, and Settings. A module that has screens of its own adds them once it is installed, so the sidebar follows what the server runs.

Configuration is not spread across the sidebar. The web server is configured under its own Web Server entry, and every other setting lives under Settings, in a section named after what it configures: General, PHP, Databases, DNS, Email, SSL, Tools, Agents, Security, Infrastructure, and System, plus CloudLinux on a server converted to CloudLinux.

Dashboard ​

The Dashboard group is the landing page and provides:

  • System status and health indicators
  • Resource usage statistics
  • Recent activity logs
  • Quick access to common tasks

Server Management ​

Core server components are configured under Settings and Web Server, while installing, restarting, and re-provisioning system services happens on the Health page:

  • Manage PHP versions and per-domain PHP assignment, under Settings > PHP
  • Configure the active web server, Apache, LiteSpeed, or OpenLiteSpeed, under Web Server in the sidebar
  • Configure mail servers under Settings > Email
  • Configure DNS records, templates, and resolvers under Settings > DNS

Customer Management ​

The Customers group holds hosting customers and their accounts:

  • Create and manage customer accounts
  • Configure hosting plans and quotas
  • View customer activity and resource usage
  • Access customer accounts

Domain Management ​

Domains are managed from the account that owns them, with the server-wide parts in their own groups:

  • Configure DNS records and templates under Settings > DNS
  • Manage SSL certificates in the SSL group
  • Check that domains resolve correctly in Health > DNS Domains Health
  • Set up domain redirects

Email Management ​

The Email group covers mail on the server, with its configuration under Settings > Email:

  • Manage mailboxes, the mail queue, sending limits, and blacklists
  • Manage domain-wide email settings
  • View mail services and recent mail activity
  • Configure spam protection

Database Management ​

Database administration lives under Settings > Databases, with its health in the Health group:

  • Configure the database server and remote MySQL access
  • Reach Adminer and phpMyAdmin
  • View database health and performance metrics
  • Optimize database performance

Security Management ​

Security is configured under Settings > Security:

  • Configure firewall rules
  • Manage IP blocking and whitelisting
  • Configure Fail2Ban settings
  • Run security scans
  • View security reports

Backup Management ​

The Backups group manages system and customer backups:

  • Configure backup schedules
  • Manage backup storage
  • Restore from backups
  • Monitor backup status

System Updates ​

Settings > System > System Updates keeps the panel up to date:

  • Check for updates
  • Apply system updates
  • View update history

System Settings ​

Settings > General > General Settings holds the global settings, on its own tabs:

  • Server network configuration
  • Branding and customization
  • Default service settings

System notifications, the license, cron jobs, and admin accounts sit alongside it under Settings > System.
