Webhost Manager

The Webhost Manager page allows resellers to configure the nameservers their end-users will use for their domains.

Webhost Manager

Overview

URL: /reseller/webhost-manager

The page contains a Nameservers section with the description: "Configure the nameservers your end-users will use for their domains."

Nameserver Source

A radio button selection allows choosing between two nameserver modes:

Root Nameservers

Uses the system default nameservers, automatically configured based on the hosting server's hostname and IP. The section shows both of them: the primary and the secondary system nameserver. Before panel 1.9.4, both fields showed the first nameserver.

Custom Nameservers

Allows resellers to define their own branded nameservers (e.g., ns1.yourdomain.com, ns2.yourdomain.com). When selected, two fields appear: Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2. Both are required, each must start with ns and have at least three labels, and the two must be different names. Letter case and a trailing dot do not make a name different.

Save Settings

Click Save Settings to apply the chosen nameserver configuration. This setting affects all newly created domains under the reseller's accounts.

Over the API

Since panel 1.9.4, GET and PATCH /api/reseller/settings on the reseller REST API read and change the same settings, with the same checks. See Beyond billing.
