ImunifyAV ​

ImunifyAV is the free, antivirus-only edition of Imunify. It scans the accounts on the server for malware and reports what it finds. Available since panel 1.9.0.

ImunifyAV is one of three security modules AdminBolt integrates, with Imunify360 and CPGuard. Only one of the three can be active on a server, so uninstall the one you have before you install another.

Overview ​

Once installed, the page is listed under Modules in the sidebar.

Installing ​

  1. Open Modules and click Install on the ImunifyAV card.
  2. ImunifyAV is free, so there is no activation key. Click Next to start.
  3. The installation log is shown while it runs. When it finishes, the ImunifyAV page appears under Modules.

The installer refuses to run while Imunify360 or CPGuard is installed, and names the module to remove first. It works the other way round too: Imunify360 and CPGuard cannot be installed while ImunifyAV is on the server.

An ImunifyAV that was installed on the server outside the panel is detected and connected as it is, and the installer does not offer a second installation. Its page shows the scan summary and the detected files. The vendor's own interface is embedded on the page only when ImunifyAV was installed from the panel; reinstalling from Modules puts it in place.

The ImunifyAV page ​

The page shows:

  • whether ImunifyAV is installed and running, and its version,
  • the Last scan: when it started, its status, and how many malicious files it found,
  • the Detected files across all accounts, with the account, the file, the detection, its status, and when it was detected,
  • ImunifyAV's own interface, embedded, when its panel plugin is installed.

When nothing is detected, the list says that no malicious files are currently reported.

Clients ​

Clients see their own results on the ImunifyAV page of the client panel, under Security: only the files flagged in their own account. The page follows the ImunifyAV feature of the hosting plan's feature list, so a plan can leave it out. Updating to 1.9.0 turns the feature on in existing feature lists; turn it off where you do not want it. See ImunifyAV in the client panel.

Uninstalling ​

Uninstall ImunifyAV from its card on Modules. This removes ImunifyAV and its integration with the panel.

Upgrading to Imunify360 ​

Upgrade to Imunify360 on the ImunifyAV page replaces ImunifyAV with Imunify360 in one background operation: ImunifyAV is removed, then Imunify360 is installed. The activation key is optional; leave it empty to install Imunify360 in trial mode. Both stages are logged on one page. When it finishes, the Imunify360 page takes the place of the ImunifyAV page.
